Shelby, my name is Buddy Morris and I am the head coach of physical preparation for the University of Pittsburgh football team. I just want to thank you for the help and excellent service you provided for my wife, Monica, on her recent victory at her contest. What's even more impressive is you reset her metabolism and she has only gained back 4lbs and is a month post-show. As you know competing over 50 is no easy task, especially for a woman, but you did an incredible job in time of panic. Once again I appreciate your help and if I ever decide to compete again over 50 I know where I am going! Thank you she looked amazing!!!!!!

Buddy

Shelby,

I took another visit to the Bod Pod today (it has been around 10 months since the last visit).

Today’s BF level was 8.8%. I have to admit that I thought this was low however I remember the first time I went in 16 months ago and it was 30.2% that I complained that I thought that was high so maybe I should just stop complaining! Either way, this provides the baseline from which I have always been operating from.

We have been working together for most of the time (diet and training) over the last 16 months. Since that time working with you my body weight/body fat has gone from 237/30.2% to 206/8.8%. To summarize, that means I have lost 53.3 pounds of fat and gained 23.3 pounds of muscle. In my mind, this is pretty staggering. The important thing to note is that this was not a quick fix. This was steady (and sometimes not steady) progress over a lengthy period of time. We used multiple approaches (carb cycling and eventually a modified keto) and have changed training templates. All which proves the benefit of working with you under your progressive program as the body adapts and changes need to be made.

I have laid the changes out below (it is an excel doc you can go into) with the dates so you can see the progress. Anyway, I am looking forward to the success we have when we really start to focus on the muscle gain. Good things still to come!

By the way, not sure your clients tell you enough (or maybe they do), but your guidance, responsiveness and adaptability make a huge impact personally and not just on the body. The changes that you have helped me make the last 16 months are huge and resonate in my daily life.

Matt

Here are some of the thoughts I had as I reflect on the past 6 months. We started working together on October 31, 2009. I contacted you because I was able to take myself from 228 lbs to 197 lbs [and not too sucessfully I might add--I lost lots strength and muscle] and was stuck. I read your log frequently and everyone had very positive things to say about you and now I am no different. I'm sure you forgot more than most people will ever know about dieting and the sport. You are also honest and truthful.. You could have sold me any supplement from your company whether I needed it or not just to make money and you did the exact opposite you discouraged me from buying and using supplements that I didn't need. I knew you worked with many elite athletes and even though I am not an elite athlete you took me as a client anyway and I felt as if you gave me the attention as if I was an elite athlete and for this I am very thankful. Due to reasons we talked about before, competing is not an option for me but I wanted to get as lean as I possibly could and to get in the best shape possible. To be honest I did not know what to expect. I love food and used it as a crutch when I needed to. I THOUGHT I was in pretty decent shape [but now looking at the "before and after" pictures and the cardio I was doing before and what I can do now how wrong I was]. We started out with 2 high days, 1 medium day, and 4 low carb days with 5 days a week cardio and you changed these when you saw necessary. Every change brought about more fat loss. Over the 6 months you gave me 4 "cheat meals" and to be honest I took 1 additional one on my own [sorry] and other than an occasional extra spoonful of peanut butter or some extra cashews I didn't cheat any more than that. Diet sodas and Splenda became my close friend and I did drink tons of warm green tea and took lots of Cognitrop to control my appetite, which at times was a little tough BUT because of the constant changes you made I continually progressed and because I progressed it was easy to stay on the diet. One of the toughest things I had to put up with was the "nay-sayers". Other than your words of encouragement whenever I e-mailed you I got almost no support from the outside and only after approx 4 months into the diet my wife finally began to be a great support to me. I heard people talk about me either being ill, on drugs or unbelievably questioned if I was anorexic [If they just understood how much food someone has to eat to lose weight correctly that would never come up]. Looking back I guess I should have taken these as compliments. There are tons of "nay-sayers" in the world who can bring you down if you let them. I have even stayed away from some people who I considered close friends for the comments they would make. I don't blame anyone or hold bad feelings towards them they just don't understand. Now I will take some blame for that because I would wear oversized clothes so I looked liked I lost more weight than I actually did. Then it seemed after a while everyone I know who wanted to lose weight would ask me what I was doing, I would always answer the same way "the first thing you need to do is get a nutritionist/coach and get prepared to do tons of cardio. I really believe they think there is a magic pill for losing weight, but as I and I'm sure all of your clients can attest to there ISN'T, Just hard work. The only secret I can think of is I believe that everyone should have a nutritionist/coach. My weight started at 197 and now it is 150 with strength increases and I never had my bodyfat tested but if I had to guess when we started working together it had to be around 30% and I'm not sure what it is now but I know it is A LOT lower. I give all the credit to you I had the easy part. I know you work with tons of great athletes but I really appreciate you working with me and I hope we can work together for a long time to come. I am really excited to see what can be done in the future!

This past Fall, I found myself out on the soccer field and something was wrong... I was just getting blown past left and right by players far younger than me. At 36 years old, I had hit a point where I needed to do something to improve or settle for a much more recreational brand of soccer. Whether it was pride, ego or just being plain pissed off, I decided I didn't want that to happen any time soon.

As a pretty regular reader of EliteFTS.com, I had seen a lot of people talking about their work with Shelby... but much more telling were the before and after photos. They completely floored me. People who went from looking like Joe Couch Potato to being completely shredded after work their asses off (literally) with Shelby. So I dropped Shelby a note and explained to him my basic goals: to get lean while not losing (hopefully improving) my strength levels so that I would come out on the other end a better athlete. Shelby said his plan could do that if I was up for it. Hell yeah.

I purchased a Progressive Program from Shelby in late October for a 12 week plan and off we went. The plan was challenging, but completely doable. The beauty of it for me was that every day I had a very clear path to follow. If I ever had questions, I would drop Shelby an e-mail and I rarely waited longer than a day (and usually no more than a few hours) before I would hear back from him with guidance and answers... no matter how ridiculous my question.

This was a huge relief to me because I have worked with a few distance coaches before for training and the experiences completely sucked. It's as if anything that could possibly go wrong on the program was clearly my fault because they were just too incredibly awesome for their programs to ever go wrong or need tweaking based on individual differences. I felt like Shelby put together a great plan and one that he would work with me on as someone with a pretty busy/stressful job and who wanted to live my life. Plus, how can you not love a coach who responds to your Facebook post about looking forward to a day of Thanksgiving gluttony by negotiating you down to a single meal of gluttony?

But here's the biggest thing - With Shelby, you are not a dollar sign or a faceless number. Your are a client and he treats you as such. Just based on his professionalism alone this plan was great... but my results? For me, I was delighted. I dropped from 202 lbs to 186 lbs over 10 weeks. I was hitting PRs on my deadlift. My conditioning levels were through the roof to the point that my teammates were commenting on how I was flying all over the soccer field and chasing down every loose ball. It was incredible.

If you are looking for real results with a coach who walks the walk and does so as a true professional, go with Shelby. One of the best training and nutrition decisions I have ever made. Period.

I hired Shelby in the Fall of 2005 after I decided to make the transition from powerlifting to bodybuilding. I was 210 at a relatively high bodyfat at the time. Shelby worked with me through a few months of off-season training and eating, with the goal to start a contest prep on January 1 of 2006. I started my contest diet at 210 at a lower bodyfat than where I started, but still with a long way to go.

Shelby had me diet for 17 weeks and monitored me very closely. He would plan my week of eating, cardio and training based on how my pictures looked. At the end of 17 weeks I stepped onstage at 164 pounds with striated glutes and quads, winning the middleweights and overall at the 2006 Natural Mid-Michigan.

Without Shelby's keen eye I would not have achieved the level of conditioning and fullness I displayed. He is very knowledgeable about nutrition, training and supplementation. His guidance made the prep for the show so much easier knowing that I didn't have to worry about what to do as Shelby was able to tell me exactly what to do.

My name is Jason Kurker, I am 30 yrs old and from NH. I have a career in automotive sales, I am the General Sales Mngr for a Ford & Hyundai Franchise and have a used car dept as well. Lets just say I have a busy schedule to say the least and I average 60+ hrs per week. I have been a big fan of the sport of Bodybuilding and its healthy lifestyle since I was the fat kid growing up. Just like anyone else who gets bitten by the bug I read everything I could on nutrition, bodybuilding and all the magizines. I wanted to have muscles so bad I became obssesed. By the time i was in my early 20's I was always the buff guy at the gym and all my friends thought I was really big and stuff (under 200lbs, they just never seen anyone with muscles before!) and encourged me to compete in a bodybuilding contest. So I did,in 1998 I entered the NABA Super Natural in Portland ME. I was confident even though not experienced, becouse my friends and people at the gym who didn't know much about bodybuilding told me I would do well. Well my first show was horrible, I placed 6th in the middle weight class (dead last) and I did not belong on stage.

Well I said hey it was an experince and I tried it and I just don't have the genetics for it, making excuses for myself to justify not doing good! Well Bodybuilding is my lifestyle/hobby, heck, I am not into golf, fishing, tennis, model trains or knitting, I lift weights and eat six times per day! Thats my vice outside of my career or spending time with my family. Well that was just to give you some back ground. So I train 5-6 days per week at 6:30 AM before work and have never stopped doing so. I grew quite a bit over the years and in 2003 I decided to try again at my NPC State show(NH/MA State Championships) I figure I know what I'm doing, I'm always reading, and I'm into the latest as far as training, nutrition, and supplements. So I prepared and did ok, but I wasn't happy with the way I looked on the day of the show. I looked better 1 week out than I did at the show. I lost way too much muscle, I was the bottom of the light heavy weight class and was almost a 5'9 middleweight!! I wasn't too happy realizing that I trained and dieted and followed what I thought was a good plan to a T and didn't cheat once. I was upset that I wasted a full 3 months of prep only to look like crap the day of the show. I said forget this, I'm just not good at this. I figured I would just train for fun, becuse I like it, but forget bodybuilding.

One day I'm scrolling through Musclemayhem and I stumbled arcoss very impressive before and after photos of some offseason to competitive-shape bodybuiders. They were all being advised by Troponin Nutrition (Justin Harris). I saw some pics of some major transformations from people who look like they never trained to people winning bodybuliding shows. I was amazed and I contacted the site and got in contact with Justin. To make a long story short, this former fat kid, who has to watch what he eats year round so he doesn't get fat, the same guy who messed up last minute at his show even though I knew what I was doing? I stayed in contact with Justin every week and he made subtle changes in my diet every 2 weeks. He made an easy schedule and diet for me to follow so my prep wouldnt interfere with my job. Well he guided me every step of the way and took the guess-work right out of it for me. No stress or last minute changing what I was going to do. It was pretty simple: I ate only what he said to eat and trained with weights and cardio when he was around. In 16 weeks we started and at six weeks out people thought I was leaner than I was on stage back in 2003. That felt great to hear considering I have 5 weeks left to get better.

On Sept 24, 2005 I competed in the NH State show and I placed 3rd!! I was
syked, and I got a trophy. It wasn't so much that I placed or not or got a trophy or not. I was just happy that I didn't make any mistakes and I felt I was in condition and was competetive on stage.

I strongly recommend Troponin Nutrition to anyone who is in a similar condition, and really doesn't want to waste time .

Justin made the prep easy and I felt all I had to do was follow along. I wasn't worried about making a plan and then changing it every time I read something new. Justin took the pressure off and gave the directions and I just followed. I wasn't second guessing myself. Justin mad it an effort to cater the
routine I have around my 60-70hr work weeks. Everything he wanted me to do or eat, he would explain why and not just proceed. I got an even better education on how everyone's body is different and cookie cutter routines and diets don't work for everyone. If it wasn't for Troponin Nutrtition, I would
have not even bothered competing again and just day dream about it. I was confident come show day and ready, I was at my best and couldn't have achieved that without him. He was always an email or phone call way. I don't need to spend years of trial and error to get it right when I have acess to a professional, willing to guide me through. I highly recomend to anyone who wants to compete and achieve peak condition and not screw up, to get in touch with Troponin right away!

Thank You Justin!!!!!"

"I wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I received some great news last week! I got a call from the VP of the WNBF and due to the size of the World's show and due to the fact that I lost the overall by literally a point....they decided to award me my PRO CARD! They originally only awarded a pro card to the overall winner, but decided to give a second.....last year they gave out two pro cards, one for both short and tall winners (it was a smaller turnout). I'm really excited and can't thank you enough for all your dedication to helping me, I know it was far from easy...especially since you were training, dieting, competing and working full time as well!"

Monica

"I just realized my 12-week session has come to an end. Thank you so much for everything - I feel great and look great! The program really works and your checking in with me periodically and changing the diet
around was a good motivational start. I really enjoy having a structured plan to follow, which I will continue. The physical changes I'm seeing in my body are very exciting. I'm learning as I go but I
feel you've given me a great start to get into shape."
